bbc's excuse that they cant afford the TV rights for F1 next year, what the hell pay a TV license for then, maybe they should stop paying fortunes to wards there staff ie: moyles hammond clarkson etc etc. As a bill payer we just get butt f*&ked in the country. Once this seasons over they certainly wont be getting more money from me.

If memory serves then murdoch isn't majority owner of sky, the bbc is. They bought it a few years ago hence the change in name to BskyB. So unless things have changed recently then it's the bbc who are screwing us not only with F1 but with the whole licence fee/sky charges seeing as they used the licence fees to buy the majority share and still charge us for both.
It's amazing how many people don't know this

i am now just about fed up with Bernie Ecclestone's greed, i don't have Sky for a reason and that reason has become blatantly obvious in recent weeks regarding Murdoch's integrity and total control over TV broadcasting and his monopoly over the UK media, i refuse to put cash in Murdoch's pocket.
it's about time that Bernie retired and actually started spending those Billions he's earned from F1 and let the sport go into the hands of someone who actually has it's fans best interests at heart instead of adding more cash to his pot.
We now see where your loyalty lies Bernie, under no circumstances will i be paying out £360 a year to Sky to watch "half" of the F1 Live, in fact i loathe having to pay a TV license fee in the first place just to pay for a channel i only watch for F1.
the outlook of 6 years of F1 torture is not a promising prospect, i think it's time i gave up on this sport.

apparently there are 24 963 799 licenses in the uk times that by the price of £145.00 and you get alot of dollar £3619750855 everyone keeps going on about the state of the economy, but it only seems to be us that are suffering for it, I vote for every license payer to just say no. Oh by the way thats only revenue from fee payers not all the money they make from BBC Films and other dvd sells.

The bbc will now lose viewers , so will not spend money on the f1 next time the contract is up and now sky have a foot in the door they won't give up easy so it won't be long before no f1 on bbc or free to air tv.and the sport will suffer why should I pay a licence to a company who don't provide what I want to watch, this only goes to show that licence fees have got to go to force the bbc to compete fairly on our behalf rather than just get our cash and dishing out whatever they have

:'(What the hell does the BBC think they have done, apart from ruining my entire weekend. You can't tell me that they don't get enough viewers to make it cost effectuve! Useless lot!

We spend a grand of a 30k salary every year going to watch F1 races. Every one of our weekends that F1 is on telly is given up to devote to watching practice, qualy, and the race.. We are livid that F1 is moving to Sky.
Do BBC and Bernie really think that British fans will accept their comments that we will get good value by being able to watch extended highlights after the race? Such a patronising remark which questions whether they really understand the value fans place on F1 and the damage that it will do to BBC and respect for Bernie to lose it?
We have been blessed with the best coverage of F1 we have ever seen with the combination of great presentation from Jake accompanied with unprecedented expertise coming together to keep us updated.. dare I say it is even better than the days of Murray.
As presenters you only need to see the support you receive at Silverstone in the after race party to see how much the British public love the BBC team.
Wherever you go please all stay together as it would be tragic to split that quality.
Bernie, you should be ashamed of yourself for the lack of value you have placed in the British fans for allowing this to go through. You are playing a game of cards with the British passion for the sport.

OK just watched the coverage of Hungary. Clearly not the usual unbiased reporting from the BBC then (if only). Seemed there was a boycott about talking about it , other than a couple of minutes of waffle. Why no interview with Bernie ! When some one shouted from the crowd on the red button , "NO to SKY " they backed off quickly... I thought Eddie Jordan had more balls than that... seems not . They all have their price. I have always loved Touring Cars as well so that's where my main interest will now go. I will be carefully noting all the sponsers of F1 and any that I use I will be telling them I am going stop buying their products because of this .

Well I am totally disgusted with the BBC I refuse to pay money to SKY to watch F1 as a Loyal F1 fan for many years, I decided to to call it quits as of next year, I wont be watching any of it, as an analogy how would we feel if our road tax only allowed us to drive on 10 percent of the uk roads free the other 90 percent are toll paying roads! well thats BBC for you same thing, pay for the TV licence and pay to watch F1. Heres an Idea farm out half of Eastenders episodes to Sky the Beeb could save money that way, but as we all know there would be such an outcry that they would reverse there decision.

I agree. I'm looking into overseas coverage. I'll buy a sat dish, I’d pay Sky for the races, but not the whole lot. I agree with the sentiment that we the licence payers have been let down. I see that you'll be able to subscribe to iPlayer in Europe soon, so the Beeb has not looked to the options. Without wanting to use too many puns, it’s on own goal. Once the viewers are on Sky with Sky Plus (I must admit that’s the biz) they won’t migrate back! BC
